Firstly, welcome to the BB family, your child is now part of the one million children and young people around the world who are members of The Boys' Brigade.
In the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland your child will be part of an organisation with almost 60,000 young people in over 1500 Companies.
Did you know? The Boys' Brigade has been going for over 125 years, and so we have a proven track record that you can trust. Millions of children and young people have been involved in The Boys' Brigade at somepoint in their lives!
About Our Work
BB above all seeeks to make a positive contribution to the lives of young people through the programme of activities that we offer young people.
Our programmes are balanced to provide every child and young person opportunities to take part in a wide range of activities, learn new skills and develop existing skills. Who can join?
BB is open to all children and young people aged from 5 to 18 of any faith and background.
Our Leaders
The Boys' Brigade enjoys an excellent reputation for providing a safe environment for its children and young people to enjoy activities. All our adult leaders follow clear safety guidelines and undertake training appropriate to their role.
The BB's 'Code of Conduct' is a pocket sized card that all leaders working in The Boys' Brigade have a copy of. It contains information about how to report concerns or allegations of abuse and a code of behaviour for all adults working in The Boys' Brigade.
We also encouarge our volunteer leaders to undertake further training throughout their time in the BB to enhance their skills and understanding of childrens and youth work.
All of our leaders go through a proceedure of registration and as part of this will complete a Criminal Record Disclosure Check.
