If your church already has BB, is thinking of starting a group, or just wants some ideas on youth work then read on to find out a little more . . .
Firstly, welcome to the BB family, we are a part of the one million children and young people around the world who are members of The Boys' Brigade.
In the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland the organisation has almost 60,000 young people in over 1500 Companies.
Did you know?
The Boys' Brigade has been going for over 125 years, and so we have a proven track record that you can trust. Millions of children and young people have been involved in The Boys' Brigade at some point in their lives!
About Our Work
Each week The Boys' Brigade works with thousands of childen and young people, many of whom have no other connection with the Church. The BB offers a firmly Christian-based means of working creatively with them, using a balanced programme of adventure and activity, that is flexible enough to meet the needs of your church.
You can find out more about the various programmes we offer by checking out the Programme & Awards Support pages.
What does The Boys' Brigade offer the Church?
The Boys' Brigade . . .
. . . works in partnership with your church
. . . provides a bridge into your community and link with non-church families
. . . shares in mission and outreach
. . . provide a fully resourced programme
. . . trains and supports leaders
. . . values young people and releases their potential
We firmly believe that to share the gospel we need to be in contact with children and young people. We provide opportunities to explore the Christian faith through our resources, but more importantly through the way leaders act as role models to the children and young people, we are revealing who Jesus is through our actions . . .
. . . be an example to everyone with your words, your actions, your love, your faith and your life. 1 Timothy 4:12 (NCV)
Only through the positive relationships that we form with young people and the way we model who Jesus really is, are we going to help children and young people come to know Jesus for themselves.
I have come that you may have life and have it in all its fullness. John 10:10

Our Leaders
The Boys' Brigade enjoys an excellent reputation for providing a safe environment for its children and young people to enjoy activities. All our adult leaders follow clear safety guidelines and undertake training appropriate to their role.
The BB's 'Code of Conduct' is a pocket sized card that all leaders working in The Boys' Brigade have a copy of. It contains information about how to report concerns or allegations of abuse and a code of behaviour for all adults working in The Boys' Brigade.
We also encouarge our volunteer leaders to undertake further training throughout their time in the BB to enhance their skills and understanding of childrens and youth work.
All of our leaders go through a proceedure of registration and as part of this will complete a Criminal Record Disclosure Check.
