Are you a world record breaker ?

Giant Sleepover Logo

The Giant Sleepover, the world's biggest simultaneous sleepover is held each year to build on the world record set previosuly by the event. The Giant Sleepover holds the World Records for the 'largest sumultaneous sleepover' and the 'largest simultaneous teeth brushing'.

Giant Sleepover in 2008

The Giant Sleepover has joined forces with the world's leading children's charity, Save the Children to help raise thousands of pounds for children suffering in emergencies around the world. The Boys' Brigade is partnering with the Giant Sleepover to encourgae as many Companies, Battalions and Districts as possible to take part.

Every participating child will receive a 'goody bags' and the sleepover venue will receive a 'Treasure Chest' of games, toys, treats and ideas for activities to use on the night of the sleepover.

In 2008 over 40,000 children are expected to take part in over 1,000 sleepover venues. There are many other organisations involved in the Giant Sleepover including Scouts, Guides, The Girls' Brigade, Sea Cadets, Schools, After School Clubs, St John Ambulance Brigades and even Cricket Clubs are all getting involved.

In 2008, all groups participating in The Giant Sleepover will have the opportunity to raise money for Save the Children; the event's nominated charity, in addition groups can raise money for other charities of choice.

Sleepovers can be part of a longer camp or holiday, indoors or outdoors, big or small .... so why not take part in 2008.

Once registered there will be the chance to apply to have your sleepover at a special venue. This year these will include Lords Cricket Ground in London, Warwick Castle, The Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, The London, Edinburgh and York Dungeons and SEALIFE Centres across the UK plus many more.

To break the world record for the largest simultaneous sleepover all children must have their lights out for at least 7 hours and not sleep in their own beds!
