Constitutional Review
The Brigade Executive is grateful to all those who have made representations following the publication of draft regulations in January. The Executive has considered all of the comments and suggestions and, where appropriate, has included these in the amended Memorandum & Articles of Association and Brigade Regulations which will form the basis of the motions to Brigade Council.
In order to assist Companies, each Company and Battalion/District Secretary will have received by post:
(a) an amended copy of the M & A and Brigade Regulations
(b) a frequently asked questions sheet
The recent consultation generated a number of 'what if' or 'how would this operate' questions. In order to provide clarifications both to the respondents, but also to the wider Brigade, the preparation of a frequently asked question sheet was considered to be useful to everyone.

Motions to Brigade Council
In the name of the Brigade Executive
The Brigade Executive propose the following constitutional motions for consideration at Brigade Council on 6th September 2008:
1) Brigade Constitution
To adopt the Memorandum and Articles of Association as set out in Appendix A as the constitution of The Boys' Brigade, as approved by the Brigade Executive and the Charity Commission, and that this shall be effective from 1 January 2009.
2) Brigade Regulations
To adopt the Brigade Regulations as set out in Appendix B with effect from 1 January 2009.
