Brigade Council
Brigade Council is the governing body of The Boys' Brigade in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland.
Brigade Council is held annually at a different location each year, and is open to ALL Leaders in The Boys' Brigade.
Brigade Council 2008
In 2008 the Scotland Region will host Brigade Council at Tulliallan from 5th to 7th September.
The weekend programme will be held within the Tulliallan Castle complex, which is the home of the Scottish Police College. Accommodation is of a high standard, comprising twin rooms with en-suite facilities (some single rooms are available if required). A full programme of worship, business, workshops and social events will be offered, with something for everyone.
Kincardine is very central and well served by public transport. There are many tourist attractions; including the Falkirk Wheel, Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, Edinburgh, Fife and the Trossachs within easy reach for those who want to linger in the area (or why not come earlier?). Carronvale, the Scottish Headquarters and Training Centre is just a 10 minute drive from Tulliallan. Shoppers will be spoiled for choice with the shopping malls of Falkirk and Stirling, many woollen mills and the Sterling Warehouse and Designer Outlet Village. A Saturday tour (for those not attending the Council meetings) will visit local attractions and include a shopping opportunity.
Council 2008 is also part of the celebrations of the 125th Anniversary of The Boys' Brigade and will be an opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones.
The Gathering 2008
The Gathering is a special event organised by young people for young people, and will be an integral part of the Council weekend. There will be relevant activities for young people and opportunities to influence decision making right at the highest level of the BB.
