Get up and Go is an exciting partnership between The Boys' Brigade and Asthma UK, Barnardo's and WWF. Get up and Go is all about helping members of The Boys' Brigade to make a difference in their communities in one or more of the following ways:

Get up and Go logo Raising awareness:This part of the project will help your group find out more about the chosen charity, their cause, and how they are making a difference. It's a great chance to learn and spread the message.

Raising money: Funds raised will go to your chosen charity to help them in their work. Find out what a difference funds raised will make!

Getting involved: This provides opportunities to take a direct approach and create change through campaigning and volunteering.

Badge

Get up and Go badge Through taking part in Get up and Go, whether it be raising awareness, raising money or getting involved (campaigning/volunteering) members can be awarded a 'Get up and Go' badge.

The badge should be awarded to members who have participated in the Get up and Go Project during 2011/2012. The badge is awarded at the discretion of the Company Captain, and is available to purchase from BB Supplies (£1 each) from February 2011 (Supplies Code: 02 435 1). The badge is to be worn on the right armband and on the middle row to the right of any Challenge Plus badges (for Anchor or Junior Sections this will be the only badge on the middle row).

The badge can also be awarded to members who are involved in fundraising for other charities during the 2011/2012 period.
